OS-BASE DUCATI DESERT-X
Designed to be a perfect fit on the DUCATI DESERT-X with a custom shape and specific fitting hardware. The OS-BASE is an 'over the seat harness' for mounting OS-6, OS-12, or OS-18 ADVENTURE PACKS as soft panniers, with no need for metal frames. This system provides a super-tough, lightweight carrying solution, with no bodywork alterations needed. The fitting hardware gives the flexibility to mount a one, two, or three-pack set-up, depending on your type of ride. The set-length straps make mounting quick and easy, and the custom shape provides a tight, secure fit with plenty of distance from the exhaust. The New X-STRAPS provide extra pack stability for heavy loads or extreme off-road riding. It takes less than a minute to mount and just seconds to remove it.

NOTE: We do not recommend the OS-Base rackless luggage system if you plan to carry a pillion. If you want adventure bike luggage with pillion options, please look at our OS Soft Pannier range.

QUICK & EASY TO FIT
Pass the lower hook strap around the main frame and back through the rear pillion footrest mount and attach the hook to the web loop.
Slide the top straps over the DESERT-X ALLOY MOUNTS*
*included in the fitting kit
Pull on the top straps until the OS-BASE is firmly mounted on the seat
Fold over the loose strap ends and place them in the elastic loops.

BODYWORK DAMAGE DISCLAIMER
Even though most of the OS-BASE mounts on the seat, the sides can rub against the plastic side panels of the bike, resulting in minor abrasion. This can be further exaggerated if mud and dust get in between the OS-BASE and the plastics. We strongly recommend applying a clear adhesive protective sheet to where abrasion may occur on your motorcycle.
FOR EXTREME OFF-ROAD RIDING
To avoid excessive pack movement with heavy loads in off-road conditions the top inside straps should be hooked on to the X-STRAPS.

The loop-back feature enables the OS-18 to securely mounted directly to most tubular rear racks and pannier frames.
With the addition of Kriega fitting accessories: Subframe Loop Set, US-Drypack Fit Kits, the OS-18 can be mounted on a pillion seat and luggage carriers.
