EARLIER HYDRO-3 REVIEWS

Amazing bit of kit. High-sided on the road at 50mph, landed on my back and skidded down the road on my fully packed Hydro. The Hydro was left with just a few holes and snapped elastic. All my stuff in the Hydro was fine (including iPad) and the water bladder didn't burst. Highly recommended (the hydro not the crashing and skidding down the road bit!)

Been racing RedBull Romaniacs with this bag for 3 years.
Nothing ever broke, never moved from it's position on my back, never run out of water nor from tools. Never gave me any shorts of problems.
This bag is so good i never considered downgrades!
You'll be surprised to see how much it fits with the sacrifice of 1 lt of water.
I wish all products were of similar quality of production!
It's materials don't fade, don't rip, don't tear.
One of the best companions to hard enduro i've owned!

Great hydration pack!
Love the hydra 3. 3 litre bladder instead of the usual 1.5 or 2 you get with other brands. Which is good because you can easily drink a litre an hour when doing enduro events and the 3 litres will see you through a 3 hour race. Water tube has a cap on it to stop it getting full of shit which I like when greenlaning. It can also be removed if you don't want to use it. Bite valve is nice and you get a good flow of water through it. Water tube can be used on either side. Quad lock harness is great because it distributes the weight over your chest and shoulders so feels like you have next to know weight on, reducing arm pump. Has one pocket on the front which is enough room to get your phone keys and a thin wallet in. I bought the the us 5 drybag as well for carrying KTM tool kit and some other bits, which once you've worked out how it straps on is excellent.

Water Water Hydro 3
The usual high quality Kriega material. The only problem is how to fit the bladder - do you fill it first and then struggle to squeeze it into the pack or squeeze in first and then fill it up? Not a lot of room in the side pocket but it's not there anything big though. Used it on the moto and the mountain bike and it was comfortable for both. Give it time for the material and straps to flex a bit, a little stiff to begin with. More detail on how to fit the other bits to it would be nice (kube and US5 etc).

Excellent - as always
Great product as always from Kriega. Superbly put together. Only limited use so far as its early days but does what is says.

Best hydration pack I've used!
Very comfortable, holds more than enough water to keep me hydrated, the straps are well designed. Would recommend to anyone. Well worth the price.

SMALL BUT EFFECTIVE
Ace Fit-completely snug to the body without restricting movement which is vital in Hard Enduro. Bit disappointed I could not get my Kriega tool roll in the front pocket so this really is a light hydration pack for minimal tools, small first aid kit, mobile and wallet. Anything more and you'll need a larger pack. Perfect for my early morning sunrise ride!

Completely forgot it was there!
I think that's about as good as it gets.

Fit for purpose, fully functional, no gimmicks or no non sense features, what you see is what you get, and what you get is what you need.
I ride extreme enduro at senior amateur level.
I can only recommend Hydro-3 as the logical evolution for anyone still using Camelbacks.

Best hydration pack bar none
I use this pack when mountain biking and it is nothing short of superb. I've had mine for about 5 years now and it's still as robust as ever after many long and hard trial rides in north wales. I've tried friends camelbaks and all feel far inferior to my Kriega. Why? The harness is amazing, fits incredibly well with no wobble (even without the waist belt fastened). Sure there's not a lot of storage space, but the modular design means I can just strap on the 5litre extension pack if I need it.
The materials and the weatherproofing is also way above the competition in terms of build quality. Nothing else comes close.

This is so comfy it's like wearing the R15 - you totally forget you have it. I also like that you can use the reservoir in the R15 and R25 rucksacks I have if you do need the extra room. Great design.

Thank you for the Hydro-3
It is the best hydration pack I have used. I have used a few packs including Hydrapak, Camelbak and Karrimor also. There are two stand out reasons that I can tell. 1- Shoulder straps/harness, it is a little bulky when you look at it, but the freedom of movement that you have in it is outstanding, and by far the best of any pack I have used. Also the adjustment range of the pack. 2 - COMFY the fact that it's a 3-litre pack with storage space. May seem to some as a bit of hindrance, but it is very hard to find a 3-litre small compact pack, without carrying external pockets and 10 litres of storage. I got asked if I was going parachuting by one of my riding buddies when I clipped up the front Quadloc harness, he said "that's the best idea I have seen for a pack, gets it out of the way of your armpits" He was impressed. Thanks again for the excellent service and bringing the product in.
