Tough like old boots
I purchased this for off road day rides, in hot climates its light enough not to cause much sweating and holds lots of water. In cool UK mud conditions its sufficiently waterproof to keep my phone dry.
The R15 is big enough for levers, tubes, pump water, food bars and a warm/waterproof top, but small enough that it doesn't get in the way when riding in trees etc.
The usual Kriega build quality means it fells indestructible, buy the best and buy once.

If Carlsberg made backpacks.........
They probably could not have made a tougher, more comfortable one.
I bought this R15 for day rides. The main compartment holds a 3L water bladder, wallet, spare tubes, tyre levers, pump, spare jersey and first-aid kit. The rear easy access pocket a small waterproof jacket, a camera and phone.
Before this I used cycling camelback bags which would flap around when going fast and snag on tree branches and tear. This one from Kriega will not suffer the same fate. The waist strap is unobtrusive but stops the bag moving about totally.

Excellent as Always
We all know the score by now. I've started using Kriega stuff in my real life as well as on the bike. There's nothing else comes close.
I've got tailpacks, tool rolls, stashes(?), you name it. I tour Europe a lot and I won't consider anything that isn't Kriega these days. It works, it lasts and it looks good.
If you're reading this, just get it bought. It's the best on the planet.

Just what I needed
The R15 backpack is the ideal size for me - it seems good quality and will be used frequently along with the hydrapak.

Cracking piece of kit
In the past, I've not been a great fan of back packs. Through necessity I've tried out a couple of hiking style back pack and found them uncomfortable and insecure. This product has dispelled those worries. The "X" harness is: simple to adjust & fit, secure and very comfortable. The pack is superbly made, easy to access and sits snug &secure on the back.Through out a 4 hours ride I forgot it was there, plus it did not interfere or detract from the ride. In short an excellent product that does the job like no other!

This is my 2nd R15. I managed to wear out my first as I use it so much in a pretty harsh environment.
I work for a company providing off road experience days and the rucksack spends most of its time full of tools and bottles of water for the customers. Despite a lot of weight in it, it's still extremely comfortable and you can quite easily forget you have it on. It sits nice and high on your back, and the straps clip comfortably and securely across your chest.

R15 Best you can buy. No contest
Ive toured with this and a US20 for a few years now. After previously using normal ruckies. The kriega is so comfortable at speed. It allows free movement on the bike. Its build quality is 2nd to none. In fact for bike luggage i would not consider any other manufacturer. Simply the best stuff available. It works. Simplez

If you are looking for a small rucksack don’t look further than the R15, I’ve been using it daily for over two years and could not be without it, I’m almost naked without it. Yes it’s on the expensive side but you get 10 years guarantee, and apart from build quality in workmanship, Kriega has an excellent after sales service.
Thanks again Kriega for another great product.

Not just for motorcycles
This is my third Kriega product, already owing an H3 and a US10. I've started using my road bike for commuting more and more, and found I didn't have enough space in the US10. Ordering over the Internet, I was worried if I should go for the R15 or R20. I'm glad I went or the 15 as its a lot bigger than I expected!
As with my previous products from Kriega, this is brilliantly made, and fantastically comfortable for bike (whether powered or pedal) use. Highly recommended!

Just the job
Very pleased with this backpack. What surprised me most was the fact that I forgot I was wearing it. Am sold on them now.

Superb piece of kit!
A rugged and ergonomic piece of kit, that I hope is as robust as my other Kriega bags.

Its like a seat belt
Can't ride without now. Its like driving a car without a seat belt... silly I know. Straps are perfect for clipping my iPod Shuffle onto!

Almost not there
I use this pack daily, mostly for carrying a laptop. The compressions straps can make the bag so small I can sit and eat at stops and still not remember I'm wearing it. Great when someone says "I wish we could review xxx" and you remember you have it and pull the laptop out. Very strong, well made, and very water resistant (though not waterproof). Brilliant.

Like it's not really there
This rucksack is so unobtrusive that I managed to ride 40 miles before I realised that I had left it behind. Kriega should issue key fobs with this bag, as a reminder to check before starting up!

Although normally not so quick with unrequested e-mails, I feel I must join the chorus of praise of the Kriega rucksacks. I have got the R15 now for 2 years, and I hardly ride without any more. Before I hated having rucksacks while riding my bike (awkward, restrictive and uncomfortable), but really, I do not feel it, except if I don't take it with me: then I have this vague feeling that I forgot something. Well and smartly designed, and very good quality. Real class!!
